We are fast approaching the release of Timothy Zahn‘s hotly-anticipated first book in the new Thrawn trilogy titled Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising and to get our Chiss juices flowing – Penguin Randomhouse is re-releasing the original Thrawn trilogy to delight a whole new generation of fans.
Heir To The Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command – are returning to UK bookshelves on August 27, in paperback format and if that isn’t enough to have you reaching for your blue face paint, we’ve got our hands on the awesome cover art (first seen on the US reprints from a few years back). This is awesome news. At a time when new Star Wars content was few and far between, the original Thrawn Trilogy proved to be the perfect set of stories to appease fan appetites. Thankfully my original copies are safely tucked away in a storage box somewhere – but you can bet your bottom dollar that I’ll be adding these new releases to my collection sooner rather than later.
Exciting times in the Star Wars literary universe.
