She-Hulk Attorney At Law

Annlyel shares her excitement for Marvel Studios’ first unapologetic comedy in SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has found a way to not only create incredible stories with epic moments; lovable characters, and powerful story arcs. But each of their films has a comedic backbone that makes these movies stand out. Some MCU movies, of course, are funnier than others, such as the Ant-Man, Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy movies as well as Thor: Ragnarok. And undoubtedly the upcoming film, Thor: Love and Thunder. Yet every film has its comedic moments that are worth remembering.

Such as Ant-Man being turned into a baby in Endgame during a time travel test run. Or Star-Lord deepening his voice when he feels jealous of Thor’s presence. If you don’t laugh at least once during a Marvel Studios movie something is wrong. And it seems with MCU’s upcoming installment She-Hulk, the comedy is finally going to be the star. The official trailer for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is finally here and if you’re not distracted by the janky CGI (which I was) the trailer is full of comedic moments.

MARVEL COMEDY?

There’s a joke about a woman’s daily struggle with anger/fear, and one of She-Hulk’s friends comments on her suddenly much-better-looking buttocks due to her transformation. And the end is the funniest part when we see She-Hulk trying to date and ends up coming across this hot guy who says one of the funniest lines I’ve heard in the MCU, “Do you want to split some fries?” The trailer then ends with She-Hulk carrying said hot guy clearly to the bedroom which is a hilarious visual.

Yes, it’s just a trailer and the show may be far more serious than it’s letting on but it seems like She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is really going for a comedic vibe and I am here for it. It also makes sense that the series would have a funnier tone considering that the show’s head writer, Jessica Gao, has written for Rick and Morty and Robot Chicken, and the show’s primary director, Kat Coiro, directed Girls5Eva.

Yes, this show is going to be full of funny moments and that alone makes me excited for the series.

‘She-Hulk: Attorney At Law’ smashes her way onto Disney+ on August 17th.
