This week sees two new entries hit the chart. To make way for this pairing, we say farewell to Renfield, and Fast X. But where have the newcomers entered the placings? And what could they be? Grab your trunks and bikinis as we find out.

THE LITTLE MERMAID SWIMS STRAIGHT TO THE TOP!

The Little Mermaid dives straight in at number 1 on the Official Film Chart. The Disney live-action adaptation of the story, starring Halle Bailey, Jonah Hauer-King and Melissa McCarthy, makes a big splash on digital downloads only.

MARIO BOUNCES BACK!

The Super Mario Bros. Movie lifts one place to number 2.

THE GUARDIANS ARE DEFEATED!

THE FLASH GETS SLOWED DOWN!

DC Studios’ The Flash is down two places to number 4. (Read our review here.)

JOHN WICK SHOOTS HIS WAY BACK!

John Wick: Chapter 4 continues his re-ascension up the chart, rebounding two more places into the Top 5 to number 5. (Read our review here.)

THE CHART GOES INTERSTELLAR!

After its big return to the chart last week, the 2014 sci-fi adventure Interstellar enters the Top 10 for the very first time this week, climbing six places to number 6. It comes after increased interest in director Christopher Nolan’s modern classics following the release of Oppenheimer in cinemas.

MAVERICK HITS THE AFTERBURNERS AGAIN!

Top Gun: Maverick bounces back up three places to number 7. ( Read our review here.)

AVATAR TREADS WATER!
